McScience was created to help anyone who wants to learn. Part of learning science is finding out how it links to our everyday life and to the careers that are open to scientists like you!

Engineering
Electrical Engineer Salary £88,000
There are many different career paths for engineers, each having its own merits. A chemical engineer can earn upwards of £91,500. The qualification for this required is a bachelor’s degree. Engineers can work in different industries such as food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and chemical.
Medical
Average Nurse Salary £40,832
In the NHS there are over 350 different types of jobs, of which there are roughly 60 different types of doctors and at least 10 different types of nurses.
Space
Astronaut Salary £87,700
It requires at least 2 years of training to become an astronaut. The qualifications required are a bachelor’s degree in engineering, biological science, physical science, computer science or mathematics, followed by three years of professional experience, (or 1000 hours in a jet aircraft).
