Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions set out how McScience CIC provides 1-to-1 online tutoring. By booking a session, you agree to the terms below.

By booking with McScience CIC, you confirm you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Sessions & Delivery

All tutoring sessions are delivered online via Zoom. Sessions are 1-to-1 and tailored to the individual learner. Zoom links will be shared at the start of each week for scheduled sessions.

Communication

All communication will be made via email, WhatsApp or text with the parent/carer unless a different arrangement is explicitly requested in writing. McScience CIC will never contact a student directly without prior parental/carer consent.

Payments

Tutoring is charged at £25 per hour. Payment details will be provided upon booking confirmation. Payment must be made in advance or as agreed with McScience CIC.

Cancellations & Refunds

If a session is cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice, the session will be rescheduled at no extra cost. If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, the session will still be charged in full. If McScience CIC needs to cancel a session, a full refund or rescheduled session will always be offered.

Safeguarding & Behaviour

Andy is the designated Safeguarding Lead for all McScience CIC tutoring sessions. Any safeguarding issues or concerns will be addressed immediately, and the parent/carer will be contacted without delay. Any form of abuse, aggression, or inappropriate behaviour from a student will result in the session being immediately ended, and the parent/carer will be contacted. Students must be in an appropriate environment for online learning (e.g., not in bed or in unsuitable clothing). A parent/carer should be aware of and supportive of the student’s participation in each session.

Learning Approach

Sessions are designed to strengthen subject knowledge, improve exam technique, and build confidence by applying knowledge in exam-style scenarios. Progress will be reviewed regularly, and feedback can be provided to parents/carers upon request.

Reviews & Feedback

McScience CIC may request feedback or reviews from parents/carers to help improve services and to share with prospective families. Reviews will only be shared publicly with parental/carer consent.

Waiting List

McScience CIC operates a waiting list system. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and parents/carers will be contacted when a space becomes available.
